A fine mesh stainless steel basket that sits across your sink instead of on your countertop. Two arms slide out from the frame and rest on the sink rim, so the basket hangs over the bowl while you rinse and the water runs straight down the drain.
Three sizes cover most sinks. The small basket measures 31 by 13 cm (12.2 by 5.1 in) and spans 31 to 40 cm (12.2 to 15.7 in). The medium is 29.5 by 21 cm (11.6 by 8.3 in) and spans 29.5 to 40 cm (11.6 to 15.7 in). The large is 37 by 27 cm (14.6 by 10.6 in) and spans 37 to 51.5 cm (14.6 to 20.3 in). A folding wire bracket underneath keeps the basket level when it is loaded, and folds away when you are finished.

Warm water and dish soap with a soft brush gets into the weave. Avoid steel wool, which scratches the polish. If limescale builds up, soak it in a weak vinegar solution for ten minutes and rinse, then dry it before storing.

Slide the side arms out and the span adjusts to your bowl, anywhere from 29.5 cm (11.6 in) up to 51.5 cm (20.3 in) depending on the size you choose. It holds firm on the rim, and the bracket underneath keeps the basket level while it is loaded.

How do I know which size fits my sink?
Measure across the top of your sink from rim to rim, then pick the size whose span covers it. The small spans 31 to 40 cm (12.2 to 15.7 in), the medium 29.5 to 40 cm (11.6 to 15.7 in) and the large 37 to 51.5 cm (14.6 to 20.3 in). The small is the narrow one at 13 cm (5.1 in) across, good for herbs and silverware. The medium is 21 cm (8.3 in) across and the large 27 cm (10.6 in), so those two take a full colander load of vegetables.
Will it rust if I leave it wet?
It is 201 stainless steel with an electrolytic polished finish, which is what gives it that bright surface and keeps it rust resistant around water. A rinse and a shake dry after each use is all it asks for.
Can I use it for anything besides washing vegetables?
Yes. It works as a drainer for washed plates and glasses, a colander for pasta and rice, a rack for defrosting, and a tray for sponges and brushes. Stand it on the counter on its folding bracket and it becomes an ordinary basket.
Where does it live when I am not using it?
The arms slide back in and the wire bracket folds flat against the base, so it stores upright in a cabinet, slides into a gap beside the sink, or hangs on a rail hook by the frame.
