A bare bulb throws hard light and sharp shadows. This lamp puts a handmade cotton paper shade in front of it, so the same bulb reads as a soft, even glow that sits comfortably in a room after dark.
The stacked paper form rests on a slim stainless steel stand and measures 40 cm (15.7 in) across at its widest point. The shade sends its light downward, which keeps the brightness at a level that is easy on the eyes when you are seated beside it.

Looks really pretty, but it did arrive a bit torn from one side must be during the shipping. Assembling was a bit hard since there was no manual, but dug out a youtube video and fixed it.
