A ceiling light flattens a room after dark. This table lamp does the opposite, sending a soft glow up through a white rice paper shade so the light spreads across the ceiling and comes back down warm.
The frame is slim black painted iron and the shade is paper, quiet and a little imperfect in the Japanese wabi sabi tradition. An E27 LED bulb is in the box, so it lights up the evening it arrives.

Item was shipped fast and arrived safely. It comes with a led bulb that can change color from white, to warm to somewhere in between. I would probably just get a replacement bulb at some point. The lamp is easy to assemble and the rice paper feels thick and not flimsy. I would definitely recommend both the store and the lamp!
