A single narrow loop of aluminum standing upright, with a strip of LED light running down its inner face and a small round disc at the top where the cord meets it. It is tall and thin rather than wide, so it hangs beside a bed or a mirror where a conventional shade would be in the way.

Narrow Enough to Live Beside a Bed

At 8.2 cm (3.2 in) across it takes almost no room at head height, which is the whole reason it works as a bedside light. It frees the table underneath and reads as a line rather than an object.

The Ring Is the Lamp

There is no bulb and no shade. A continuous LED strip runs down the inner face of the loop, so the light comes from the shape itself and the middle stays open to the wall behind.
