A bench for the inside of a front door: 120 cm (47.2 in) long, 45 cm (17.7 in) high and 35 cm (13.8 in) deep, which is a proper sitting height and long enough for two people to deal with shoes at once. It is built from solid fir rather than a faced panel, which is the whole reason to buy a bench like this instead of a cheaper one.
The ends are thick solid legs that splay outward toward the floor, braced across with a wooden stretcher, so the bench widens at its feet and stays put when you drop onto it. Beneath the seat are two open shelves, one above the other, holding several pairs of shoes each. Small non slip pads under the feet keep it off a hard floor.
