A bench for the inside of a front door: 120 cm (47.2 in) long, 45 cm (17.7 in) high and 35 cm (13.8 in) deep, which is a proper sitting height and long enough for two people to deal with shoes at once. It is built from solid fir rather than a faced panel, which is the whole reason to buy a bench like this instead of a cheaper one.
The ends are thick solid legs that splay outward toward the floor, braced across with a wooden stretcher, so the bench widens at its feet and stays put when you drop onto it. Beneath the seat are two open shelves, one above the other, holding several pairs of shoes each. Small non slip pads under the feet keep it off a hard floor.
Dust with a dry cloth and wipe spills promptly with a barely damp one. Keep the bench out of standing water and check the non slip pads occasionally so they keep protecting the floor.

01
The bench is solid fir, not a faced board with a printed grain, and its ends are thick legs that splay outward toward the floor with a wooden brace across them. That splay is what stops a 120 cm (47.2 in) bench shifting when someone drops onto one end of it.

Two open shelves run the length of the bench, one above the other, so shoes go in and out without lifting a lid or pulling a door and wet boots get air to dry. Across 120 cm (47.2 in) that is a lot of pairs, and nothing is hidden behind a front you have to open.

At 45 cm (17.7 in) the seat is a proper chair height rather than a low shelf you have to perch on, and at 120 cm (47.2 in) long two people can sit down together. The seat is bare wood, which is right for a doorway: it takes a wet coat, a bag of groceries or a child standing on it without any of that mattering.
Good to know
120 cm (47.2 in) long, 35 cm (13.8 in) deep and 45 cm (17.7 in) high. The 45 cm (17.7 in) height is a normal chair height, so you sit on it properly rather than crouching, and 120 cm (47.2 in) is long enough for two people at once.
Two open shelves, one above the other, each running the full 120 cm (47.2 in) length of the bench. Because they are open rather than boxed in, shoes slide in and out without lifting anything and wet boots get air around them. They also take baskets, folded blankets or a bag just as easily.
Yes. It is solid fir throughout, with no particle board, MDF or faced panel anywhere in it, which is unusual at this size. Fir is light for its strength and takes an aged finish well, which is why farmhouse benches are so often made from it.
No, and for a hallway that is the better answer. A bare wood seat takes a wet coat, a muddy hand or a bag of groceries without staining or holding damp, and if you want it softer a cushion or a folded throw sits on it happily.
Non slip pads are fitted under the feet, which keep the wood off a hard floor and let the bench be pushed back into place without scratching. The legs splay outward and are braced across, so the weight is spread wide rather than driven into four points.
