A compact square dining table that stands on one solid central plinth instead of four legs. The plinth is narrowest where it meets the underside of the top and widens steadily as it drops to a 15.8 in (40 cm) square foot on the floor, like a truncated pyramid stood the right way up, with flat faces and no turning or molding.
That single base is what makes the table work in a small room. Every side is clear, so a chair can be pushed in anywhere along it without meeting a leg, and four people sit down where a legged table of the same footprint would seat two.

How many people does it seat?
Four, one to each side. The top is 31.5 inches square, which gives every seat an equal share and puts everything on the table within easy reach. Because the base is a single central plinth, no chair ever meets a leg on the way in.
How tall is it, and will my chairs fit under it?
It stands 29.53 inches high overall, which is standard dining height, and the tabletop edge is 3.93 inches deep. That leaves roughly 25.6 inches of clear space beneath the top, and there is no apron rail or stretcher to catch a chair arm, so most dining chairs slide straight in.
What is the base like, and is it stable?
It is a single solid four sided plinth with flat faces, narrowest where it meets the underside of the top and widening steadily to a 15.75 inch square foot on the floor. That flared foot is what gives it its footing, and the base is rated to support up to 500 lb.
