A small pendant with its shade cut from natural yellow travertine. The stone is a warm pale beige with fine open pores and soft banding, and no two shades are marked the same way. A turned solid wood collar caps it, and the whole fitting hangs on a single slim cord.
Lit from inside, travertine warms the light rather than glaring at you. Over a dining table it throws a soft pool onto the wood and leaves the rest of the room low, which is the reason to hang stone rather than glass.
