A small pendant shade woven by hand from fine strips of pale bamboo, shaped into a soft rounded barrel that sits somewhere between a lantern and a basket. The strips cross in an open diamond lattice with a second woven tube set inside, so a single bulb lights the shade from within and the pattern reads twice over, once on the shade and once on the wall behind it.
It is a genuinely small light. The shade measures 15 cm (5.9 in) across and 18 cm (7.1 in) tall, about the size of a grapefruit, and hangs from a slim black cord that is 120 cm (47.2 in) long and adjustable, dropping from a flat round black ceiling plate 10 cm (3.9 in) wide. One E27 screw bulb sits inside; the bulb is not supplied. It is rated for a room of roughly 10 to 15 square meters (108 to 161 sq ft).
