A wide, shallow dome woven by hand from fine strips of pale bamboo. At 28.5 cm (11.2 in) across and only 16 cm (6.3 in) high it is close to twice as wide as it is tall, so it reads as a low canopy rather than a hanging basket, and it spreads light outward across a table instead of dropping it in a narrow column.
The strips cross in an open diamond lattice with a second woven layer set inside, so the bulb lights the shade from within and the weave patterns both the shade and the ceiling above it. It hangs from a slim black cord 120 cm (47.2 in) long and adjustable, dropping from a flat round black ceiling plate 10 cm (3.9 in) wide.
